What do the association board cover?

When moving into an condo whether it is rented or owned there will always be an association board. This will be a group of people to have been elected to over see the going on in the building. These people will be who you need to contact if you were to have issues. A condominium building will be split up into to separate living spaces, the whole building itself will need to be maintained and this is what the association board will take care off.
Before moving In it is important to find out what the condos association boards insurance will take cover as it may vary from condo to condo. Most will cover the basics of the building and its grounds. You may wish to get a copy of the insurance document so you can keep a copy and so you do not duplicate any insurances they may have. A basic policy will cover the actual building, the liability of anyone on the grounds but not for individual living spaces this would need to be covered by the person occupying the space. If someone where to have an accident in the actual property rather then public space, the association board will have no liability for this. If you think the insurance board are missing something of their policy it may be best to let them know as it could effect you in the long run and cost you more money unnecessarily.
You may find when looking for a condo to rent or buy there are monthly fees. The amount can vary from condo to condo. The fee is there to cover things such as the insurances and maintenance. One of the great things about living in a condominium complex is that it is always well looked after and this is why.
